SECOND GENERATION GLASSWORKS

Second Generation Glassworks features the designs of Brynn Hurlstone, a Philadelphia-based artist and educator. The daughter of a glass artist and a painter, Hurlstone was raised in a house full of beautiful handmade objects that influenced her love of craft from a young age.  Over time this appreciation deepened into a personal pursuit, and she received a BFA in 3D Fine Arts from Bowling Green State University in 2008 and an MFA in Glass from Tyler School of Art and Architecture in 2023. Working always from a place of curiosity, Hurlstone draws her inspiration for the designs of Second Generation Glassworks from the material itself, exploring the limitless possibilities of process that allow glass to transform light, color and air into captivating objects.
